Are you a resident of Guilford township? If you are, then the staff at Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library invites you to register for a library card in person! A library card is so much more than your ticket to new books and movies. At our library, you’ll find ways to use your imagination like never before. We’ll provide you with opportunities to create amazing things at our events and programs and even give you the tools to connect to the world in new ways.
Getting your PGTPL card couldn’t be easier! We want every member of our community to have access to our great materials and resources.
To get a card, simply bring your driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID and proof of your residence – like a current utility bill – to the library, and our staff will be happy to assist you!
Once you have your card, you will be able to access to a wide range of digital resources, like eBooks, eAudiobooks, downloadable and streaming music, online magazines and newspapers, databases, language learning, teaching resources, how-to arts and crafts videos, and more! Follow us on social media for digital collection highlights and information on other free educational resources that are available at this time.
Finally, if you live in an area not served by a public library, you can purchase a non-resident card. If you live in a township served by another public library, you can purchase a PLAC (Public Library Access Card). Both of these cards may be purchased at the Main Desk.
We’re thrilled to offer library card holders tons of great materials both at the library and online. With a library card, you can check out materials like:
