In ‘neighborhoods,’ related books are kept together to make them easy for you to find. There are three kinds. Concept neighborhoods include Shapes, Colors, ABCs, etc. Holiday neighborhoods make it handy to find available books. Popular Character neighborhoods are frequently requested books like Pete the Cat or Search & Find books. They come and go, depending on what kids are looking for. Two new neighborhoods were recently created; Daniel Tiger and the American Girl series. Several others were absorbed back into the collection. In the catalog, when you click on a title, the location code will clue you that the book is in a neighborhood. Let a staff member know if you’d like help finding the neighborhood you want!
