22 May Summer Reading Club Kick-Off Party May 31
Join us as we kick-off another fun-filled Summer Reading Club at the Plainfield Library! This year’s theme is Libraries Rock! May 31 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Library.
We will have many activities and exciting games for kids to try out. Children (Infants – 12th Grade) will receive a reading log to complete throughout the summer for fun prizes. No tickets needed, everyone is welcome. We hope you can join us!

When does registration for 2018 Summer Reading Club
begin? Summer Reading Club 2018 registration begins on May 31.
How do I register for Summer Reading Club 2018?
Infants through 5th grade will register in the Children’s Room, grades 6-12 will register in Teen Central and adults will register at the main help desk.
What do I have to do to win a prize?
Young children in the Early Lit challenge will complete a set of activities, such as singing, talking, reading, playing and writing. Children in the children’s challenge will read in 20 minute increments. Participants in the teen challenge will read in increments of 30 minutes. Adults will read books in order to get Raffle Tickets for a chance to win prizes.
Can I buy a Summer Reading Club t-shirt?
Unfortunately, no, you can not. NEW this year – Summer Reading Club t-shirts will be awarded to participants ages birth through 5th grade when they have completed their challenges. T-shirts are only available while supplies last.
When will the raffle winners be drawn?
This will take place at the Summer Reading Completion Party. Children and Teens will each have separate completion parties, exclusive to participants who completed the reading log. Raffle winners do not have to be present to receive their prize.
