01 Dec PGTPL-TO-GO: Convenient Check Out and Curbside Delivery
Your heated car seats are toasty warm, you’ve picked up a delicious coffee drink, and the kids are snuggled in their car seats. Instead of getting out of your vehicle: why not simply pull up to the library and pick up your materials with our PGTPL To Go Service?
It’s convenient, it’s quick, and it’s accessible Monday- Thursday from 2-6 PM. This service is perfect for all of our library patrons, but especially for our seniors and busy families. We understand your time is valuable. Stopping inside the library sometimes is not an option.
What can I check out via PGTPL To Go?
You can request any holdable item! This includes books, DVDs, audiobooks on CD, board games, and our Library of Things activities and devices.
Imagine this:
It’s a Monday morning and the weather forecast for this afternoon mentions up to 6 inches of snow. You will be out running errands later today but don’t want to get out of your car as this bad weather rolls in.
From your cell phone or home computer that morning: Simply place a few board games, books, and library of things items on hold. Then place a PGTPL To Go order and pick your library materials on your way home!
Now you will have have plenty of entertainment for the next few days being homebound by the weather. Pair this pick up with another curbside service that many local grocers now offer and you won’t have to step foot in the unpleasant weather at all!
How to Use PGTPL To Go:
- From the ease of your cell phone or home, you can access www.plainfieldlibrary.net and place your items on hold through the Evergreen Catalog using your library card number.
- Your next step is to fill out the PGTPL To-Go form which is available from the Services tab.
- Now what happens? If the materials requested are available, a staff member will contact you to arrange your pick up time. Any requests placed after 12PM may not be available until the next day. If you need any help placing your holds, you can call us at 317-839-6602.
- Locate the PGTPL To Go Sign/Parking space in our parking lot. Park during your designated pick up time to receive your items!
It’s important to us that our community of patrons have access to library materials whenever they are needed. PGTPL To Go is just one of the amazing services we offer to ensure your reading and entertainment needs are met!
