The Lightning Thief Book Review

At the beginning of The Lightning Thief, the first book in the Percy Jackson series, we meet Percy, a 12-year-old boy. At first glance, it seems like Percy is just a regular boy who lives with his mom and is trying to figure out life. But boy is he in for a surprise!

Percy soon figures out that his father is actually Poseidon, Greek god of the sea. Poseidon’s brother Zeus, the god of thunder, has had his lightning bolt stolen, so Poseidon asks Percy to help figure out who the lightning thief is. Percy enlists his own help from his friends, a satyr and the daughter of Athena, as they embark on a journey all over the world to catch the lightning thief!
