The new school year has started and with it, PGTPL is here to help! Parents and educators can find helpful resources and services from the library to support learning for their students.

Digital Resources

We recommend these digital resources for students and educators:

•  Scholastic Teachables: An online treasure trove of ready-to-go lessons and activities for every grade, subject, and skill level
• Scholastic GO!®: Scholastic GO!® is designed for children, providing credible, accurate, reliable content on almost every core-curricula subject
• INSPIRE: A free resource for Indiana residents! This database is a great tool for students who need to research a topic and includes links and overviews written for different grade levels
• Mango Languages: Language-learning software that teaches practical conversation in over 70 languages
• Tumblebooks: A collection of animated, talking picture books, suited for elementary school children

You may need your library card number if accessing these resources from home.

Kids Collection Kits

Submit this Collection Kit form when you need a themed collection for use with your family or in your classroom, homeschool, or day care setting. We will gather the books and other materials from our available collection and have them ready for you to come pick up.

Delivery option: New this year, educators can request a collection delivery to your school. For more information, email childrensroom@plainfieldlibrary.net

Class Visits

Want to visit the library with your class? We can offer book talks, tours of the Children’s or Indiana Rooms, group project reference help, demonstrations, and more. To schedule a class visit, submit this form and we’ll contact you to confirm your dates. Homeschooling groups or families are also welcome!
