19 Mar 3rd Annual Arts Gala is Elemental
The Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library will host the 3rd Annual Arts Gala, with the theme of Elemental, to benefit the library’s Mental Health Initiative.
Original pieces in a variety of media and styles created by local and regional artists will be for sale. Individuals, businesses and organizations who become Patrons of the Arts by pledging to purchase items ranging in price from $50 and above are invited to attend the Starlight Reception on Friday, April 10 from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. During this exclusive event Patrons of the Arts will enjoy a first look at items available for purchase, a variety of local craft beers and wines, and a sampling of hors d’oeuvres from local eateries.
Our 3rd annual Plainfield Arts Gala is themed Elemental and highlights the beauty and intrigue of earthen art. Feature artist Angi Peterson‘s pottery embodies our theme through her use of natural materials and methods such as horse hair, clay, feathers, and outdoor put firings for a perfect balance of art and functionality. The Gala will be open to the public on Saturday, April 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 12 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. There will be pieces priced for any budget during the public art sale and exciting artist demonstrations!
