The library will host a Cool Back to School Party on . at the Library. Attendees will enjoy free Chicago’s Pizza, KIND bars, a dunk tank, a school bus tour, bounce house, prizes, games, music and fun!
“We want children in our community to be excited to start a new year at school,” explains Joanna Carter, Community Central Manager, Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library. The Library expects more than 300 children and adults to join in the fun this year!
New to the party on August 17, there will be a dunk tank. Expect to see the Library’s famous Tie-Guy, David Brinker, sporting one of his best suits and ties as well as Plainfield School Administrators taking a turn in the dunk tank! There will be local businesses taking part as well as the police and fire departments.
The staff at the Plainfield Public Library encourages continued reading all Summer and school year. “There are plenty of excellent books out there for children and parents about starting school or heading back to the classroom. Stop by the Library and ask one of our Librarians for suggestions. We love to help you find resources,” explains Carter.
