Are you ready for the 2024 Summer Olympics? They are taking place in Paris, France from Friday, July 26 to Sunday August 11. Some of the sports that will be at the Olympics include Artistic Gymnastics, Diving, Marathon Swimming and a Triathlon.
A little Olympics History
The ancient Olympic Games were originally in honor of Zeus, the father of the Greek gods and goddesses. The ancient Olympic Games happened in Olympia, Greece, from 776 BC through 393 AD.
Then 1,500 years later, the Olympics returned! The first modern Olympics were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896. Currently, there are Summer and Winter Olympics.
