Have you seen our newest addition to the Children’s Room play area? We have a Duplo table!
We love building bricks, because they are excellent for unstructured play–and have more early literacy value than you might think:
- learning through trial and error
- learning through action and observation
- manipulation, building, and fitting things together
- cognitive and motor skills
Take this time to talk to your child. Start a conversation with your child by saying, “Tell me about this!” Regular daily activities are the perfect time to build vocabulary skills by talking with your child.
