02 Apr Book Review: Return to the Pit
Return to the Pit
by Scott Cawthon
Your name is Oswald, and you live in the worst town ever. Nothing ever happens here, excluding all the shops on main street closing and your best friend moving away. Not you, though, your family is stuck here. All that changes when you find the gross ball pit in the back of Jeff’s Pizza– and time travel back to 1985! Here, there are games and friends galore, much better than back in the present! However, a strange yellow rabbit ruins it all– and follows you back to the present. Taking the place of your dad, you now have to use your wits to survive in this interactive novel!
Based on the original Fazbear Frights story Into The Pit, Return to the Pit brings the story to life in a whole new way! With the two difficulty settings and 25 different endings, I found myself having a blast as I read through it. For fans of FNAF, there are many easter eggs and references to the games that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. Even if you’ve read Into The Pit, or played the newly released video game adaptation, there’s lots of new things to enjoy about this newest version.
I rate Return to the Pit 3.5 out of 5 stars, and fully recommend it to both fans of FNAF or general horror fans!
