Julie and the Phantoms: The Edge of Great, by Micol Ostow, is the book adaptation of the Netflix series of the same name.
This book is about Julie Molina who, like her father and brother, has just experienced the passing of her mother. Julie is on the verge of being kicked out of her music program at school because she finds it impossible to perform anymore without her mother.
But then one day, she meets three teenage ghosts: Luke, Alex and Reggie. They become her ghost band and through them she begins to see the best parts of life and begins to find herself again through friendship again.
