07 Oct STEM/STEAM Programs @ the Library
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or STEAM (which adds Art) programming is everywhere these days. The President launched the Educate to Innovate STEM initiative to “move American students from the middle to the top of the pack in science and math achievement.” Schools, afterschool programs, daycares, and libraries are doing STEM programming for children. They encourage curiosity in learning how things work through hands-on experimentation. If you’re interested in including more STEM at home, you might like the interesting article at Wikihow.
